Moya Financial is dedicated to supporting programs and initiatives that make a real difference in the community we serve. Our goal is to support innovative ideas that will help to revitalize our community. We approach these collaborations the same way we approach everything – by asking what the benefit will be for our members and the community where we all live and work. That’s why we will partner with select organizations each year to help bring their ideas and initiatives to life.

So many great organizations in the community we serve truly make a difference. While we would love to be able to fulfill every request that comes in, we are able to support only selected programs with the funds we have available. These are some of the questions we consider as we review each application:

• Will funding this project help to build a stronger community?
• How many Moya members will this request impact?
• Who will this request benefit in the Canadian-Slovenian community?

We give to programs and organizations that are working to create a stronger community for all of us. Applicants must demonstrate how their program or initiative will influence at least one of the desired outcomes in the specific focus area and identify opportunities for Moya Financial with measurable results.

Moya Financial does not support the following:

• Individuals
• Faith-based organizations, unless engaged in a significant project benefiting the entire community
• Political groups
• Travel or entertainment expenses

Completed applications can be submitted to marketing@moyafinancial.ca and must include:

• Completed application form
• Proof of active credit union membership

We accept applications all year long, however, most major financial support decisions are made by December 31 for projects and programs the following year.

Note: If funds are required for different purposes, our Donation and Sponsorship program may be better suited to your request.
